If they want to use them for 'sea control' they should build smaller 'sea-control carriers'.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5579907756656776056.post-1213030948599995032015-07-18T21:18:55.199-07:002015-07-18T21:18:55.199-07:00"Prepositioning" sounds like painting a ..."Prepositioning" sounds like painting a big fat target for someone...Mathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07539193399759840787noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5579907756656776056.post-67807734753341866592015-07-18T21:16:19.386-07:002015-07-18T21:16:19.386-07:00You forgot the cost of keeping it in one of a few ...You forgot the cost of keeping it in one of a few nice berths, and the cost of crews, I can believe that would add up, and depreciation. Same issue with the Amphibs, once deployed they should spend most time in port, but their "surface warfare" officers insist on steaming about burning fuel and causing more wear and tear.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5579907756656776056.post-83350062287283334832015-07-18T06:24:52.109-07:002015-07-18T06:24:52.109-07:00Yes, I can see how daily hand polishing of the mah...Yes, I can see how daily hand polishing of the mahogany and silver trim and periodic replacement of the gold fleck inlays could get expensive!ComNavOpshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09669644332369727431noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5579907756656776056.post-54966748616459358502015-07-18T06:21:47.066-07:002015-07-18T06:21:47.066-07:00The contract announcement mentions only the ship i...The contract announcement mentions only the ship itself.
